PUPLIC HOUSES - information taken from Census Bull Inn was renamed Coventry Arms by 1861 - see below Coventry Arms The Bullock family ran the Coventry Arms for over 40 years - John Bullock 1799 was Innkeeper of the Coventry Arms from before 1841 until his death in 1864 - His wife Susanna then took over until her death in 1888. The Inn still exists and is now called Bants. Red Lion Inn 1851 & 1861 - publican Francis Bennett. 1871 - Robert Brown. 1881 & 1891 - Thomas Warner. By 1901 there was no mention of the Inn Royal Oak Inn The Bullock family ran the Royal Oak for over 50 years. In 1841 - Farmer Bullock 1779 was the Innkeeper, he died in 1844. His wife Mary then ran the Inn until her death in 1869. Their son Edward Bullock 1830 took over after his mother death until his death in 1892. In 1901 the publican was John Hodges.
