Morwenstow is a small village with a large farming community scattered along the coastline. It has an ancient public house the Bush Inn.

The community was served by the Norman Church dedicated to St Morwenna and St John the Baptist. Built about 1564, it is believed to have replaced an earlier Saxon Church.
