Daughter of Farmer Bullock 1849 and Jane Stanley
Martha was born on 22 Sep 1881 (1) in Henley in Arden, Warwickshire. Martha had an unconventional life. She had 6 children. She married Samuel Austin Massie on 24 Sep 1923 (2) in the Register Office of Stratford on Avon. Witnesses to the marriage were Ellen Smith and George Walker. Samuel was 35 years old and his occupation is given as Telegraph Wireman for the GPO. The home address was 64 High Street, Henley in Arden.
Samuel Massie. I know nothing about Samuel Massie's family. From the age given on his marriage to Martha he was born about 1888 but I have not been able to trace his birth record.

Samuel died on 5 March 1964 aged 76 years, His occupation was given as Post Office Engineer retired.(4) Martha died on 12 Jun 1968 (3) aged 86 in Birmingham. The address given on her Death Certificate was 82 Dovercourt House, Bell Bath Road, Birmingham.
