Son of John Harrison 1756 and Rachel
John was baptised on 10 Jun 1786 (1) in Kirkby Lonsdale, Westmorland. He married a girl called Jane. Nothing further is known about Jane (2) as I have not yet found their marriage.
John was a farmer. From the childrens baptisms is seems they started married life in Cartmel, Lancashire. They later moved to Beetham Hall, Beetham, Westmorland. Beetham Hall was a 14th Century fortified manor, the majority of the Manor was in ruins by the time John and his family were living there. John and Jane had 9 children.

John and Jane are buried in Beetham with two of their children- their stone reads:
To Memory of Elizabeth Harrison. Daughter of John and Jane Harrison of Beetham Hall, who died April 3rd 1839 Aged 3 years. Also of Agnes Harrison their daughter who died April 30th Aged 9 years. also of John Harrison of Beetham Hall, Father of the above, who died March 28th 1858 Aged 71 years. Also of Jane, Relict of the above John Harrison, who died at Beetham Hall ? 5th 1864, Aged 71 years.
