To part with Objects, so beloved and dear - Nature demands affections falling tear - But to subdue the Parents poignant grief - This Christian consolation, brings relief.

Human Life is compared to a Stream - ever flowing, a Shadow swiftly gliding, - a Vapour that appeareth for a little while - and then vanisheth away. With constant motion as the Moments slide - Behold in running Life the rolling tide, - For none can stem by art or stop the Power - The Flowing ocean or the fleeting hour

After Jane's death Richard married Ann Heywood (Widow) on 29 June 1836 in Littleham by Bideford, Devon.
